I’ve already got the first in the series ready to go on my ereader as Addison is a character I really liked. The story is good and like the other author’s books, it kept me hooked from the very first page.
I hadn’t read the first in the series but I had no problem stepping into this book being the second Addison Lockhart book. Rosecliff Manor Haunting: Rosecliff Manor Haunting is a fast-paced, quick read. Definitely a series I want to read more of, and I am a fan of this author’s Sloane Monroe books too, which have a little more bite to them. All aspects pull together really well to create a fun, easy read that all ages would really enjoy (though I do think women would be the main readers of this book). There is some light romance to add to the story also, along with some family drama. It would be very appropriate for a young adult read. I personally don’t think this one overdoes the ghostly side of things or is too scary. I like spooky, psychic books and this is a light one. Along with new neighbors and friends, her hunky contractor and some help from a few unexpected people along the way, Addison is set to figure out the secrets of Grayson Manor. She decides to refinish it but instead finds that she may have inherited a ghostly mystery and a spirit who may be lingering in the old place. (Although I do think you could read them in either order and not be confused.) This book is about a young woman, Addison, who inherits her mother’s childhood manor. I figured I had better get on the ball and read this one so I could get to the second one. Grayson Manor Haunting: I’ve had this book in my Kindle collection for quite while and then ended up with the second in the series. Below are my separate reviews for each book. I gave book 1 four stars and the second book 5 stars, but because you get more bang for your buck, more ghosts for your reads, it's tipping me over to give the boxed set the entire 5 stars. I figured I had I love boxed sets as they get more for your money and you can just go from one book to the next without interruption.
